Project about Socialism

Draft 2

The economic systems include socialism, capitalism and communism. The concept of socialism refers to a group of ideologies, an economic system, or a state that exists or has existed. First of all, the definition of socialism is an ideology with the speed belief that a society should exist in which popular collectives control the means of power, and therefore the means of production. However, the history of socialism finds its origins in the French war of 1789 and the changes brought about by the Industrial revolution. It includes a wide range of views. Socialism emerged in conjunction with the Industrial Revolution as a means of protecting worker’s rights. As the 19th and 20th centuries speed, socialism remained a popular and effective form of government worldwide. In this essay I will give some advantages and disadvantages information about socialism.

There are some advantages and disadvantages of Socialism. First, I will talk about the advantages of Socialism. Socialism provides all residents with their survival needs, creating a stable social environment. Also since their basic needs are provided, there is opportunity for residents to search non-economically productive pursuits such as pure science, math and the arts. Moreover, a fairer distribution of wealth, like the affluent don't exploit the poor. People get a fair chance in life. Socialists can meet needs of the poor because it provides for equal. Socialism Lower people rates of crimes, they are less likely to commit acts of violence against their neighbors or property, also higher overall standard of living and quality of life.

On the other hand Socialism has also disadvantages. First, Socialism might redistribute some of the wealth of the richest members of society yet it does not eliminate poverty. Instead of improving the living standards for all, socialism usually lowers the income of the richest to be nearer the income levels of the poorest. Socialistic systems provide no inherent incentive to participate. This makes socialism internally unstable. Because lack of incentives, socialistic systems tend not to be competitive, making them externally unstable. In addition, lack of opportunities for technological innovation without the ability of individuals to collect a large number of capital and benefits of projects, especially in research and technological development.

To sum up, as I said there are many advantages and disadvantages of socialism. For example, lower people rates of crimes but the disadvantages of socialism that it lowers the income of the richest to be closer the income levels of the poorest. Socialism as economy the government controls all means of production. Born of a commitment to treatment the economic and capitalism; it has far surpassed capitalism in both economic malfunction and moral cruelty. Yet the idea and the ideal of socialism linger on.

Causes and Effects of a Big Population

Draft 4

Nowadays most countries are developing and changing. One of these countries is the UAE. The UAE is changing faster than other developing countries the past. For example, it’s has many projects and buildings because of many from oil many people from different countries are visiting. Also it will increase the population in the UAE such as Workers of construction. In this essay there are two effects of a big population in the UAE.

The first effect of a big population in the UAE is pollution. So when the number of people increases, there will be more kinds of pollution such as air, water and soil pollution. Moreover, in the UAE many people use different transportation likes cars and buses, which will cause a lot of air pollution because cars have toxic gas from the exhaust. In addition, there are many factories in the UAE in different places, so that is another kind of pollution because nowadays people require a lot of production such as foods and clothes. So as a result, big population causes air pollution from more cars and factories.

The other effect from a big population is traffic. In the UAE, especially in Dubai, there are a lot of festivals and activities such as Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Summer Festival where people come from other countries to the UAE, so that causes more crowds and accidents. Moreover, in the UAE there is a lot of construction and this is reducing the size of the streets. In addition, those are all affect of human health such as we have a lot of constructions leading to disease the organism’s health.

To sum up, there are many effects of a big population such as pollution and traffic. Pollution leads to air, water and soil pollution. Also traffic gives us crowded streets and accidents. So when a lot of countries are developing, that increases the populations. Overall, all these factor affect our lives. So we must to reduce this to effects such as we should to plant a lot of plants to decrease the air pollution and use mass transit to reduce the traffic because of our world is in danger.

Definition

Definition of Socialism

1- Socialism in political thought refers to economic theories of social organization advocating collective ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and a society characterized by equality for all individuals, with an egalitarian method of compensation. Modern socialism originated in the late 19th-century intellectual and working class political movement that criticized the effects of industrialization and private ownership on society. Karl Marx posited that socialism (the disappearance of class and therefore state) would be achieved via class struggle and a proletarian revolution after a transitional stage from capitalism called the dictatorship of the proletariat.

2- Socialism, like libertarianism, is an exceedingly vague ideology. The definition of socialism is founded on two fundamental maxims: Thomas Jefferson's, "All men are created equal," and Karl Marx's "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs."1 Problematically, socialists offer few practical details about how these two principles are to be realized.
